About This Game:

Project Highrise is a game where you’re the building manager for an ever-expanding city scraper. To your tower you must add offices and apartments, shops and infrastructure. If you turn a profit, you can grow taller and make your building’s systems more complex. This is partly a backward-looking game rooted in the history of the tycoon genre — the debt it owes to 1994’s SimTower is obvious. But Somasim’s design has some very modern features. Sitting around and waiting for stuff to happen isn’t in keeping with 21st-century game design, so there seems to be a lot of things to do in Highrise while you’re waiting for the rent to come in.

Of course there’s still a long road ahead for Project Highrise’s development, and all sorts of stuff could be changed, added, or removed along the way. Still, the idea of it seems very interesting. We’ll definitely be keeping you posted as we learn more.
